sabine started her studies at the acclaimed Cassandra School in 2003. On top of this strong foundation, sabine has embraced the stylings of Tribal Fusion to become one of the Twin Cities' Tribal Fusion pioneers. Following her personal learning from Rachel Brice, Donna Mejia, Ariellah and Deb Rubin, sabine combines elements of other styles, including ATS, Indian and hip-hop, to create a dynamic, enigmatic, earthly energy on the stage.

Classes

FOUNDATIONS
At Four Gates
Sundays 6:30-7:45 pm (3/17-5/19)

This 10-week belly dance foundations class combines mind, body and dance. Learn movements, technique and beginning combinations to build your flexibility, coordination and muscle control. Wear comfortable workout clothing.

Cost: $140 for the 10-week session
Drop-in cost: $16 per class

INTERMEDIATE-ADVANCED
Banat el Kamar at Pratt
Wednesdays 7:30-9:00 pm (3 sessions, Oct-Dec; Feb-Mar; Apr-Jun)

Tribal Fusion is an intermediate-advanced class which builds on and compliments a traditional belly dance foundation. Key focuses of the class are muscle isolation and strengthening, layering and exploring 'fusion.' We will build a choreography, based on what you learn throughout the three sessions, which can be performed in June at the annual Pratt ice cream social and Banat el Kamar show.

Increase Your Gooey Factor

After a viniyoga-inspired warm up, we explore how to move slowly while still engaging not only the audience but you as well! Great slow moves need to sparkle in a different way than fast moves do. Learn how to make your ooey, gooey shine.

Yoga!
1 hour

Taught in the Viniyoga tradition, you will work through low-impact poses using your breath to build your internal fire and flexibility. Bring a yoga mat. Come see what a difference yoga makes for the rest of your day!
